To enable passengers to derive maximum benefit of manned level crossing gates, Eastern Railway has urged them to follow a few guidelines. The level crossing gate users should act with caution and should not ignore an approaching train at a manned level crossing gate. All should stop their vehicles at level crossing gates when they are closed. The level crossing gate users should not take the risk to cross over or under the gate boom at a level crossing gate. They also should not pressurise the on-duty gateman to open the gate when there is an approaching train.
