first_imgJune 17, 20190 Comments A drunk Russian passenger was arrested by masked police after the plane was forced to make and emergency landing due to his antics.Polish police manhandled a drunk Aeroflot passenger after an emergency landing at Warsaw’s Chopin airport on Friday.Flight SU2639, scheduled from Barcelona to Moscow, was diverted after the drunk, business class passenger flew into a rage.Speaking in English, Spanish and Russian, the 36-year-old man, who describes himself as ‘Dima from Moscow’, shouts at his fellow passengers sitting in the economy class cabin.“Do you really all think that we are flying to Warsaw because of me?” he asks.He also warns others that “Business class is useless!”, before adding: “Hey everyone, add me on Facebook,”Dima manages to say a last “I love you guys” to his fellow passengers, before masked police approach from behind and violently force him off the plane.In a statement, Aeroflot said: “The passenger did not react to verbal and written warnings. Since his actions carried direct threat to safety of the flight, the pilot was forced to request emergency landing at Warsaw airport.“The man resisted Polish law enforcement officers as they detained him. Aeroflot intends to demand the most severe punishment possible on this particular air accident, with the payback of the losses caused to the airline.“The man will be put on our black list.”The Russian parliament is debating whether to give crew “all necessary measures and tools” to control aggressive passengers.Some airlines have called for the government to equip aircraft with plastic handcuffs.Video footage of the incident can be viewed here.
